Amanda is a brand leader and media executive with nearly 20 years of experience developing and executing brand vision and strategy, and managing P&L and business operations. She was most recently the Vice President & General Manager of REAL SIMPLE at Dotdash Meredith. Amanda is a collaborative, innovative leader who excels at big-picture thinking, cares about the details, and builds people-first team culture that drives KPI and revenue growth.

Amanda also has a deep background in content creation, and using social media, video, audio, and newsletters to build highly-engaged audiences. She’s well-versed in SEO, commerce/affiliate, and growth marketing strategy, and she’s developed killer brand tentpoles, sponsorship products, and events. Amanda’s also brokered brand partnerships, creator relationships, and licensing deals to extend reach and revenue.

Amanda was previously the Senior Director of Content Strategy for the Health & Parenting vertical at Meredith, leading the Health, SHAPE, Parents, and Daily Paws brands, and she has also been the Senior Digital Director at SHAPE and Fitness, and Senior Digital Director and Senior Editor at Ladies’ Home Journal, among other roles.

Under her leadership, REAL SIMPLE won a Webby award, Signal award, and a Folio: award for the Money Confidential podast and a Telly award for social video. Her brands have won numerous Folio: Eddie and Ozzie awards for programs and projects every year, and SHAPE’s innovative and culture-shifting #LoveMyShape campaign won a min Best of the Web award.

Amanda has appeared on the Today show, Cheddar, Today in New York, The Better Show, and more. She regularly presents at industry conferences and events like DCN's Powerful Storytelling, the Folio: Show, min’s Social Media Bootcamp, and more. Amanda was named one of Folio's Top Women in Media (2020 & 2018) and one of AdWeek’s 15 young innovators in publishing (2015), and has commented on digital and social strategy in AdWeek, Media Shepherd, and more. She’s also been a guest lecturer for media classes at NYU and The New School.

Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Miami University in Ohio with a B.A. in English: Journalism and a B.A. in Mass Communication, with a minor in Political Science. She lives in Manhattan with her husband and son.

Amanda is also a 200-hour certified yoga instructor in power vinyasa, but she doesn’t actively teach. And in a past life, she also designed and coded websites and designed stationery, and her work has been featured on Glamour.com, Apartment Therapy, Notcot.org, TimeOutNY.com, DesignMom.com, Modish, and more.
